Essential Responsibilities:

  • Excel in embedded projects and embedded systems-including designing, developing, testing, and perfecting designs
  • Build embedded systems including hardware, firmware, application software design
  • Responsible for updating and working with executive leadership on the development of embedded systems and status of projects
  • Collaborate with marketing and service to design and improve products
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to other members of the team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • At least 3 years of embedded engineering experience
  • Experience with embedded microprocessor PCB design and hardware interfaces
  • Software engineering of real time data collection, message structures, storage structures, and processing algorithms
  • Experience with wireless communications
  • Experience leading a team of embedded engineers
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Highly motivated and passionate about embedded systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with version control software (git)
  • Experience with hardware interfaces such as RS-485, RS-232, and GPIO.
  • Real Time programming techniques
  • Experience with communications protocols; Ethernet, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth, proprietary, DNP3, IEC 61850
