ELV Technician in the ELV / Systems Integration department, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role covers installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of ELV systems across commercial, residential, hospitality, government, and other projects.
Work location is in person; travel to project sites within Abu Dhabi and elsewhere in the UAE may be required.
Technical duties
- Install, terminate, test, commission, and maintain ELV systems and equipment, including CCTV, access control, intercom, time attendance, cabling, networking, and AV.
- Work with Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling, patch panels, racks, network outlets, displays, speakers, microphones, PTZ cameras, and conference systems.
- Read drawings, layouts, schematics, and system architecture diagrams; test installations against approved project documents.
- Troubleshoot hardware, cabling, connectivity, power, and communications; carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Attend site inspections, rectify defects and snags, coordinate with site teams, prepare reports, and maintain tools, materials, and documentation.
- Follow company, client, project, and UAE health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- ITI, diploma, or relevant technical qualification in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, networking, or a related field.
- Two to five years of relevant ELV experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with one or more listed ELV systems is requested; examples include CCTV, access control, intercom, structured cabling, fiber, networking, AV, PA/BGM, SMATV/IPTV, gate barriers, and time attendance.
- Ability to read ELV drawings, perform cable termination and testing, troubleshoot, and use basic testing tools and installation equipment.
- Basic IP networking familiarity, including IP addresses, switches, PoE, VLANs, and connectivity.
- Ability to work at heights and in varied site conditions when required; UAE driving license is an advantage.
- UAE or Abu Dhabi project experience is preferred.
