ELV & ICT Cnsultant Engineer

Job Summary

Design & Engineering

• Prepare concept, schematic, and detailed designs for ELV & ICT systems including but not limited to:

• IP Telephony & Network Infrastructure

• ANPR, Visitor Management, and Security Systems
• Develop design calculations, layouts, riser diagrams, single-line diagrams, and system architecture.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, Dubai Civil Defense, local authorities, and international standards (ISO, TIA, IEC, NFPA where applicable).

Specifications & Documentation

• Prepare technical specifications, scope of work, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.
• Provide technical clarifications during tender and construction stages.

Supervision & Site Activities

• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation, workmanship, and compliance with approved documents.
• Review and comment on WIRs, MIRs, FAT, SAT, testing & commissioning activities.
• Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Witness system testing, integration, and final handover.

Project Management & Coordination

• Manage ELV & ICT scope throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors, and authorities.
• Monitor progress, timelines, and technical deliverables.
• Support project close-out, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final approvals.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in ELV & ICT consultancy.
• Proven experience working on projects in Dubai or UAE.
• Strong background in design, supervision, and consultant-side project management.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of ELV & ICT systems design standards and best practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage).
• Familiar with authority approval processes in Dubai.
• Ability to review and assess contractor submissions critically.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Consultant mindset with attention to detail and risk mitigation.
• Leadership skills to manage contractors and site teams.

Additional Requirements

• Must be based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
