ELV Draftsman role preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts for extra-low-voltage systems.
The role supports engineers and project teams in producing accurate, compliant designs.
Work location is in person; listed pay is QAR 2,000–3,000 per month.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed ELV shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Develop layouts for CCTV, access control, structured cabling for data and voice, PA/BGM systems, and other listed systems.
- Prepare UPS calculations and shop drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with MEP, civil, and architectural teams, and revise them in response to engineer or client comments.
- Prepare as-built drawings after project completion and ensure drawings comply with local authority standards.
- Maintain documentation and drawing records; assist with BOQ preparation if required.
Requirements and skills
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of ELV drafting experience.
- AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory; knowledge of ELV systems and standards is required.
- Good coordination and communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering designs.
Pay
- QAR 2,000–3,000 per month.
