Role overview
The ELV Draftsman prepares technical drawings and layouts for extra-low-voltage systems and supports engineers and project teams with accurate, compliant designs.
Systems include CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fire alarms, and public address.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ELV shop drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Develop layouts for CCTV, UPS calculations, access control, structured data and voice cabling, and PA/BGM systems.
- Coordinate drawings with MEP, civil, and architectural teams, and revise them based on engineer or client comments.
- Prepare as-built drawings after project completion and ensure drawings meet local authority standards.
- Maintain drawing documentation and records; assist with BOQ preparation if required.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of ELV drafting experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of ELV systems and standards.
- Good coordination and communication skills; listed skills also include attention to detail, time management, technical drawing, design interpretation, and teamwork.
Pay
- Monthly pay is QAR 2,000–3,000.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
