Electronics Technician

Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with Electrical and electronics fundamentals
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams on installation of parts, wire, and components
• Test and troubleshoot with a meter for accuracy
• Knowledgeable of wire types and sizes
• Possess knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use and care for them
• Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager
• Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and organized
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds independently, with assistance or appropriate equipment for heavier items
• Up to 20 hours per week availability, must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to be punctual and dependable
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to route wires neatly
• Proficient in basic math (algebra)
• Proficient in all types of measuring tools as required
• Proficient in using computers to obtain and document information
• Familiarity with more advanced testing equipment such as an oscilloscope
• Experience in a panel shop setting
• Knowledgeable of UL 508A standards and practices
