  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
  • Working knowledge of networking, industrial communication protocols, distributed controls architecture, source control, and code-branch management.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, network devices, instrumentation, hardware/software interfaces, and controls systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred experience

  • EPICS, Beckhoff controls, or other large-scale distributed control systems.
  • R&D, commissioning, accelerator, or safety-controlled environments.
  • High-level programming languages such as C++, Java, C#, or Python; Linux; object-oriented programming; and test-driven or automated testing practices.
  • Complex controls troubleshooting involving PLCs, instrumentation, networking, and scientific equipment.

Work environment

  • Full-time, onsite position at Nusano's facilities in West Valley City, Utah.
  • Work may take place in offices, laboratories, engineering, R&D, or production environments.
  • The role involves radiation environments and potential hazards including high voltage, strong magnetic fields, chemicals, cryogenic substances, and radiological sources; specialized training, safety procedures, and PPE apply.
  • Work may involve extended sitting or standing and frequent computer use and manual dexterity.
