Electrician

Qualifications

• · Previous work experience in dealing with AC motors, motor starters, disconnects, and PLC I/O wiring required
• · Experience in industrial electrical panel and machine wiring
• · Ability to read Electrical Drawings; thorough understanding of electricity, both low voltage (PLC inputs, outputs) and high-voltage, various symbols and circuitry, and power
• · Proven ability to read and understand Electrical Engineering drawing sets, understand dimensions, and knowledge of electricity and safe practices when working on high-voltage systems
• · Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics created on AutoCAD.
• · Possess a strong understanding of safe electrical practices and can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• · Must be able to read and interpret complete Electrical Engineering Drawing sets, both high and low voltage (PLC I/O, Ethernet and Safety Circuits)
• · Strong understanding of grounding and bonding for noise suppression
• · Deep understanding of wire sizes for industrial machine wiring (480Vac, 3 phase and 230Vac, 3 phase)
• · Hands-on experience reading/interpreting bill of materials (BOMs)
• · Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• · Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
• · Excellent attention to detail
• · Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
• · Must know how to use basic hand tools – cordless drill; pneumatic tools, socket set, wrenches, open end and box end, screwdrivers –regular and Phillips and pliers – regular and channel lock
