Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation work and install wiring, conduits, trunking, cable trays, switches, sockets, and distribution boards.
- Install and connect lighting fixtures, LED strips, spotlights, decorative lighting, power outlets, controls, dimmers, and accessories.
- Read electrical drawings and perform cable pulling, termination, and connections according to approved plans.
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, site supervisors, and other trades; report technical issues, material needs, and site discrepancies.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and defect rectification; maintain tools and equipment.
- Meet project specifications, electrical codes, safety procedures, schedules, and quality standards.
Requirements and qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of electrician experience; interior fit-out or MEP contracting experience is preferred.
- A technical certificate, diploma, or relevant vocational qualification in electrical works is preferred.
- Good knowledge of wiring, lighting, power installations, electrical accessories, and electrical drawings.
- Experience with lighting, decorative lighting, LED systems, testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tools and safe installation practices; able to work independently and with a team.
- Attention to detail, reliability, quality commitment, and willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with trades.
