Role overview

Responsibilities

• Execute carpentry and joinery work for interior design and fit-out projects.
• Manufacture and assemble furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, wall panels, counters, and other interior fixtures.
• Interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and cutting lists.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, and related materials.
• Install joinery items, furniture, and fixtures on site as required.
• Meet approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Operate carpentry tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with supervisors, factory managers, designers, and site teams.
• Report material defects, drawing discrepancies, and installation issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area organized.
• Follow health and safety procedures and meet project deadlines.

Requirements and qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of carpentry experience in interior design, joinery, or fit-out companies.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, furniture production, and interior installation.
• Ability to read technical and shop drawings.
• Experience with MDF, plywood, solid wood, laminates, veneers, and other interior finishing materials.
• Skills in measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing carpentry products.
• Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a factory or on project sites as required.

Preferred skills

• Experience in luxury residential or commercial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of bespoke furniture, decorative wall cladding, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and custom joinery is preferred.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight project schedules is preferred.

Work location

• Work location is in person; work may be in a factory or on project sites as required.
