The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for electrical package delivery and technical governance.
The role manages MEICA procurement packages through delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover.
Project requirements must be achieved in compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage electrical and MEICA packages from procurement through installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and civil activities and manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review designs, specifications, URS/FDS documentation, subcontractor RAMS, and ITPs.
- Drive value engineering, cost control, standardisation, maintenance, defect management, and repair activities.
- Support planning, reporting, FATs, SATs, commissioning, client training, and handover.
- Ensure compliance with client procedures, industry standards, quality and safety requirements, and ATEX requirements.
About you
- The employer seeks an experienced engineer with strong technical expertise in infrastructure, utilities, or water industry electrical works.
- An engineering qualification such as BEng, HNC, HND, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in electrical package management, site supervision, subcontract management, and water industry specifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts, WIMES, ATEX, DSEAR, and instrumentation systems is preferred or desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, communication, and planning is sought.
- A CSCS card is listed, while SMSTS is desirable.
