Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Role Purpose / Job Summary

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver electrical works for MEP projects (LV power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, ELV interfaces) in line with contract requirements, UAE codes/standards, program, quality, and HSE.
• Lead site execution through coordination with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other disciplines to ensure safe installation, timely inspections, and successful handover/commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contract scope, drawings, specifications, and BOQ; identify discrepancies and raise RFIs / technical queries as needed.
• Prepare method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, work packs, and look-ahead plans aligned with the master program.
• Coordinate with planning and procurement to ensure material submittals, approvals, and deliveries support site priorities.
• Supervise installation of LV power distribution, containment (tray/ladder/conduit), wiring, lighting, earthing/bonding, and related systems per approved shop drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces with HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, civil/architectural works, and ELV contractors; resolve clashes and access constraints.
• Manage subcontractors: scope definition, daily supervision, productivity tracking, and quality/HSE compliance.
• Conduct inspections (internal and consultant/client) and ensure timely closure of NCRs, snags, and punch lists.
• Maintain as-built redlines, test records, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation (incl. O&M manuals inputs).
• Support testing & commissioning activities (IR tests, continuity, earth resistance, functional testing) and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
• Assist in project cost control: monitor wastage, variations, rework, and provide inputs for variation orders / claims where applicable.
• Attend coordination meetings, provide progress updates, and prepare daily/weekly reports (manpower, progress, issues, and actions).
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, permits, toolbox talks, and site rules; promote a zero-incident culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–7 years’ experience in UAE/GCC on building or infrastructure projects with an MEP contractor (fit-out, residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use).
• Working knowledge of UAE regulations and applicable standards (e.g., DEWA/ADDC/EtihadWE requirements as applicable, IEC/BS standards, local authority procedures).
• Experience with electrical testing & commissioning coordination and handover documentation.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred (site mobility).
