Electrical Engineering Lead, Data Centers
Role Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead, Data Centers to join our growing Canadian Data Center team.
This individual will lead the electrical design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation, and other mission-critical facilities throughout North America and globally.
The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, client advisor, mentor, and project contributor, helping to grow AECOM's rapidly expanding Data Center practice.
This is a newly created position.
This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in Canada with periodic travel for client meetings, project milestones, site visits, and team collaboration activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in a Canadian province.
- Minimum 8 (eight) years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering design projects.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable industry standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- 15+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical, data center, or other critical facility projects.
- Extensive hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical facility experience.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record.
- Medium-voltage distribution design experience.
- Utility coordination and interconnection experience.
- Arc flash, short-circuit, and protection coordination study experience.
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or equivalent power system analysis software.
- Experience with Revit, ACC, BIM 360, or other digital delivery platforms.
- Design-build project delivery experience.
- Commissioning and startup support experience.
- Strong business development and pursuit support experience.
- Experience leading client relationships on large, complex projects.
