Electrical Engineer role focused on road lighting and LED infrastructure in Dubai, UAE.
Coordinates MEP construction work and works closely with resident engineering, structural, utility, materials, and surveying colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate utility agency and contractor approvals and design changes.
- Monitor materials submissions, approvals, and schedule updates to reduce construction delays.
- Oversee MEP construction inspections, surveying, and testing requests.
- Review and approve contractor MEP shop drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
- Prepare MEP meeting minutes.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and materials reconciliation for commissioning and final N.O.C.s.
- Verify work measurements and review as-built utility drawings with inspectors and surveyors.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; typically 8+ years of related experience.
- 8+ years managing construction and supervising infrastructure projects, including LED road or street lighting.
- Professional Engineer registration may be required.
- Experience dealing with DEWA, RTA, DM, or similar government authorities; thorough knowledge of DEWA regulations and standards.
- Working knowledge of CAD and other engineering-related PC software.
- Management capability, excellent written and oral communication, and ability to build relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
