Requirements

  • Serve as a core technical contributor on major development projects or multiple simultaneous projects, working independently with review at critical points
  • Ensure that engineering design activities follow the development procedure and maintain strict design control
  • Develop electronic systems and documentation in compliance with applicable medical device standards, regulatory requirements, and Verathon design control procedures.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, component vendors, and contract manufacturers to design for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Adapt communication style to differing technical and non-technical audiences
  • Design robust analog and digital multilayer PCBs and flex circuits.
  • Investigate design approaches, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop solutions to complex technical problems through analysis, prototyping, and bench testing..
  • Support project scope, proposals, and expense controls. Develop business justifications and cost proposals for capital equipment, prototyping, and V&V activities.
  • Integrate and interface specific subsystem technologies including camera and imaging sensors, other sensor interfaces, LED lighting drive circuits, power conversion, microprocessors, data storage, and high-speed interfaces into complex multilayer rigid, flex, and hybrid PCB designs
