Electrical Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, and supervise electrical systems installation for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Review project requirements for compliance with UAE electrical codes and standards.
• Perform load calculations, system designs, and power distribution layouts.
• Coordinate electrical system integration with project managers, architects, and other engineers.
• Inspect installations during and after construction for quality and adherence to designs.
• Manage electrical materials procurement, quality, cost-efficiency, and timely availability.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions.
• Monitor electrical work progress against schedule and budget.
• Submit progress reports and project documentation to management.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of electrical engineering experience; construction or agricultural sector experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and other relevant tools.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills; able to handle multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• A valid UAE driving license is advantageous.
• Certification from relevant professional bodies is a plus.
