Role overview
Electrical Site Engineer in the Engineering / Projects department, supervising electrical installations at project sites in Dubai, UAE.
The role supports compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Site delivery responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical installation activities and coordinate façade, architectural, internal, landscape, and outdoor lighting works.
- Read electrical and shop drawings and approved lighting layouts; coordinate with project and contractor teams.
- Monitor installation of LED fixtures, cables, conduits, junction boxes, drivers, control panels, and related accessories.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare daily progress, manpower, and material consumption reports; coordinate materials, deliveries, and installation schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate IR/WIR, MIR, and testing activities.
- Assist with lighting system testing and commissioning, including functional and control system tests.
- Identify site problems, coordinate corrections, and report technical issues to the project manager.
- Follow UAE safety requirements, HSE procedures, and permit-to-work rules; coordinate design clarifications and drawing revisions.
- Monitor project timelines and assist with snag lists, as-built drawings, O&M documents, and handover documents.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2–3 years of electrical site engineering or electrical installation project experience.
- Façade or architectural lighting experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings, lighting layouts, cables, conduits, LED fixtures, and lighting control systems.
- Experience in site supervision, installation coordination, testing, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of UAE electrical standards, site safety procedures, and inspection documentation.
- Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills; able to coordinate with project stakeholders.
- UAE driving licence is mandatory.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000–7,000 per month.
