Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Electrical BIM Modeler with expertise in Solar Projects to support BIM modeling and electrical design coordination for utility-scale and commercial solar power projects.
The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate BIM models, electrical layouts, cable routing, and coordinated construction drawings for solar PV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed Electrical BIM models for Solar PV projects using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable tray routing, conduit layouts, grounding layouts, and equipment installation drawings.
- Model and coordinate solar electrical systems including Inverters, Transformers, MV/LV Panels, String Combiner Boxes, Cable Routing Systems, Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free design deliverables.
- Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks and BIM coordination tools.
- Generate shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, BIM standards, and electrical design requirements.
- Support engineers and project teams during design development and construction coordination stages.
- Maintain BIM standards, model accuracy, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design coordination issues.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and extraction of project-related information from BIM models.
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of Solar PV electrical systems and renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of electrical components used in solar plants and substations.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, and clash detection processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and technical specifications.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in deadline-driven project environments.
