Electrical BIM Modeler

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit and prepare shop drawings, installation details, layouts, schedules, and as-built drawings.
• Model power distribution, lighting, small power, fire alarm, and ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, data, and PA.
• Coordinate with architecture, structure, and MEP disciplines, attend BIM coordination meetings, and resolve clashes and design issues.
• Follow project BIM standards, BEP, and client requirements; update models for revisions, site changes, and engineer mark-ups.
• Support QA/QC reviews before submissions.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
• Understanding of electrical systems and construction drawings; experience producing LOD 300/350/400 models and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and coordination workflows.
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) experience is an advantage.
• Experience on Qatar or Middle East projects is preferred.
