Electrical BIM Engineer joining Jacobs’ Cities and Places team in Dubai.
Supports multidisciplinary design documentation and BIM model delivery across projects, meeting project requirements, industry standards, and Jacobs’ digital delivery strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain BIM models using Revit and related software; produce design drawings, schedules, and project documentation.
- Coordinate models with architectural, structural, MEP, and multidisciplinary engineering teams; participate in coordination meetings and resolve clashes.
- Support project BIM Execution Plans, standards, quality procedures, and CDE protocols; manage model updates against project requirements.
- Assist with model audits, quality checks, and data validation; support BIM best practices and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; proficiency in Revit for BIM modeling and design documentation.
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination on building or infrastructure projects; strong understanding of BIM workflows, model management, and engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of ACC/BIM 360, Navisworks, and CDE processes; familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM delivery standards.
- Experience with clash detection, model reviews, and virtual coordination workflows; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach with commitment to quality and project delivery. Mentoring team members and supporting BIM best practices is an advantage.
