Experience
- Requires at least 2–3 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
- Oil and gas facilities experience is preferred.
Technical requirements
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting solar power systems and components, including panels, batteries, charge controllers, breakers, and junction boxes.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting UPS systems, including batteries, chargers, rectifiers, inverters, and distribution panels.
- Knowledge of 415V systems, safe isolation, and verification of de-energization.
- Ability to use multimeters and clamp meters to measure voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and battery parameters.
- Experience with Motor Operated Valves and associated electrical components, and with cable laying, pulling, glanding, and termination.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and basic Single Line Diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout, and safe isolation practices.
Communication
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot solar power systems and their associated components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot UPS systems, including batteries, chargers, rectifiers, inverters, and distribution panels.
- Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot Motor Operated Valves and associated electrical components.
- Carry out cable laying, pulling, glanding, and termination.
- Use electrical test meters to measure voltage, current, resistance, continuity, and battery parameters.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and basic Single Line Diagrams.
- Follow electrical safety, LOTO, and safe isolation procedures, including verifying de-energization.
