Qualifications

  • · Bachelor's Degree required (master’s preferred) in Counseling or related area:
  • · Must have at least one year experience counseling disadvantaged youth.
  • · Knowledge and understanding of proper English grammar, format, and usage.
  • · Ability to write clear and narrative reports.
  • · Must be familiar with the population of the target area.
  • · Ability to communicate effectively with disadvantaged youth.
  • · Knowledge of the financial aid and college procedures.
  • · Knowledge of Special programs and Trio.
  • · Ability to meet and communicate effectively and diplomatically with groups as well as individuals.
  • · Ability to plan for an facilitate the smooth flow of scheduled activities.
  • · Ability to administer and interpret diagnostic and placement tests:
  • · Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
  • Pay Range:
  • Minimum - Maximum: $45,000
