EDM Operator - Weekend Shift

Position Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate Air Flow System
• Change and set electrodes
• Read micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparator
• Read blueprints
• Identify visual defects
• Use and check various fixtures
• Identify alarm codes
• Start and stop machine
• Identify and correct machine operational problems
• Know and understand the ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Nadcap procedures and requirements
• Perform daily maintenance using a checklist
• Verify settings for special process approvals
• Communicate any questions and verify completeness and accuracy
• Understand, use and follow work Instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Sinker EDM experience; preferred
• Machining experience a plus
• Strong Mechanical aptitude
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
• Team player
