Responsibilities

  • OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
  • TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Must be able to operate basic office equipment, such as television broadcasting equipment and personal computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel. May require stooping, bending stretching, pushing and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Primarily works in a temperature-controlled public building and is occasionally exposed to inclement weather conditions. May be assigned to work in cool or hot environment due to equipment. Requires occasional travel to transport equipment to various locations within the City. Work schedule may include nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Film/Video/Television production, Broadcast Media or related degree with three (3) years of related television/video production experience, which includes (2) years training or experience with graphics and animation software and one (1) year of related supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience which enables one to perform the essential duties of the job. Experience with directing multi-camera studio productions, non-linear video editing and writing for broadcast productions preferred.
