EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology Program or minimum education required for credentials as listed below.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years' experience preferred in ultrasound imaging
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Registered in ECHO by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International American Heart Association BLS certification
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Basic computer skills

The Diagnostic Echocardiography Technician is responsible for following established departmental protocols and providing the Cardiologist with the best possible images for interpretation while maintaining the highest level of patient care and assessment.
He or she coordinates the intradepartmental communications to ensure that exams are completed in a timely and efficient manner, in compliance to established turnaround time standards.
Assists as needed with interdepartmental process improvement plans and ensures that data is collected for monthly and quarterly reports.
