Role overview

Duties

• Operate and maintain Qatar’s PC-based Early Warning Radar system for monitoring and tracking.
• Plan, document, execute, and support radar operations and maintenance; respond to system issues as needed.
• Support engineering, logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain performance.
• Work with the System Integration Lab analysis team and Systems and Software Engineers to document, develop, and implement solutions.
• Present findings and solutions to leadership or customers.
• Use field support equipment to troubleshoot radar, perform diagnostics, unit self-tests, and built-in test equipment checks.
• Assess RF performance, monitor operations, isolate failures, and replace failed components.
• Schedule maintenance using ALCS or equivalent systems; advise foreign military personnel on operational and tactical procedures.
• Conduct OJT and participate in CMOC practice-scenario exercises.
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts and respond to system-down events.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and down eight flights of stairs, and work in extreme environments.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the section officer.

Required qualifications

• Complete EWR console certification under the U.S. Air Force or an equivalent course conducted by the EWR contractor.
• Five years of experience testing, integrating, maintaining, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, and operating RF equipment associated with EWR systems.
• Experience assessing complex RF systems, monitoring and troubleshooting performance, isolating failures, and replacing failed components.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• A related bachelor's degree and at least five years of related experience, or at least three years with an advanced degree; education may be substituted by experience, with at least ten years required without a degree.
• Active, transferable U.S. government-issued Secret clearance is required before starting and must be active on day one; U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred qualifications

• Component-level EWR and subsystem operation and maintenance experience.
• Experience advising foreign military personnel on EWR operational and tactical procedures.
• Arabic language literacy; CMOC practice-scenario exercise experience; experience with ALCS or equivalent maintenance scheduling.
• Prior OJT program participation, customer and contractor coordination experience, and CORE Certification.

Schedule

• Rotating 12-hour shifts; the role may require responses to system-down events.
