Radar operations and maintenance

  • Operate and maintain Qatar’s Early Warning Radar system, a PC-based monitoring and tracking platform.
  • Plan, document, execute, and support radar operations and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot systems using field support equipment, diagnostics, unit self-tests, and built-in test equipment.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance using ALCS or equivalent systems.

Technical and customer support

  • Support engineering, logistics, maintenance, and operations teams to maintain system performance.
  • Work with the System Integration Lab analysis team and Systems and Software Engineers to document, develop, and implement solutions.
  • Present findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
  • Provide foreign military personnel technical advice on EWR operational and tactical procedures.
  • Conduct OJT programs and participate in CMOC exercises using practice scenarios.

Required qualifications

  • EWR console certification under the U.S. Air Force or an equivalent EWR contractor course is required.
  • Five years of experience in RF equipment testing, integration, maintenance, calibration, and operation for Early Warning Radar systems is required.
  • Experience assessing complex RF systems, troubleshooting, isolating failures, and replacing components is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • A related bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience are specified; experience may substitute for education, with at least 10 years required without a degree.
  • An active, existing, transferable Secret security clearance is required before starting.

Preferred qualifications

  • EWR component-level operation and maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Experience advising foreign military personnel, managing CMOC exercises, coordinating with customers or contractors, or conducting OJT is preferred.
  • Arabic literacy, ALCS or equivalent scheduling-system experience, and CORE Certification are preferred.

Work conditions

  • The role is described as onsite and requires rotating shifts and work in extreme environments.
  • Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and walking up and down eight flights of stairs.

Compensation and benefits

  • The stated salary range is USD 95,500–181,700; no pay cadence is specified.
  • Eligible benefits may include healthcare, retirement, paid time off, parental leave, flexible schedules, and education assistance.
