Role overview

Site surveillance and checks

• Inspect contractor works for HVAC/ECS/TVS, fire protection, water supply and drainage, lifts and escalators, MV/LV distribution, lighting and UPS, earthing and lightning protection, and BMS/SCADA cabling and terminations.
• Record observations and raise non-conformance reports where applicable.
• Verify ITP/WIR compliance, material deliveries, storage, and handling; maintain QA checklists and test records under PMC policy.

Testing and commissioning support

• Witness pressure tests, duct leakage tests, and functional tests; assist with FAT, SAT, and IST witnessing.
• Compile evidence for acceptance.

Coordination and safety

• Coordinate with civil works on access, penetrations, clearances, and supports; report interface issues to Site Engineers and log them in ICD registers.
• Monitor hot works, work at height, and electrical safety on site.
• Check that installation follows NFPA 130 life-safety features, including smoke-control paths and emergency-ventilation readiness.

Reporting and documentation

• Prepare daily progress reports, photo logs, and inspection reports; support measurements and bill verification.
• Maintain punch lists and track closure.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of E&M site inspection experience; experience at metro stations is preferred.
• Previous metro or rail project experience is essential.
• Experience with QA/QC checklists and design-build workflows.
• Multidisciplinary electrical and mechanical inspection experience, documentation, basic submittal review, and coordination with contractors and PMC engineers.
