Driver - Light Vehicle

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Operate light vehicles safely and follow UAE traffic laws and regulations.
• Plan and execute routes for timely delivery or transportation of goods and passengers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate mileage, fuel-consumption, and delivery records.
• Keep vehicles clean and well maintained.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues.
• Follow company policies and safety protocols to minimize accidents and incidents.
• Respond to customer inquiries courteously and meet delivery schedules.
• Immediately report vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns.

Required qualifications

• Valid UAE light-vehicle driving licence (Category B or equivalent).
• Minimum 2–5 years of proven driving experience and a clean record with no major traffic violations.
• Knowledge of UAE traffic rules, regulations, and road signs.
• Strong time-management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS/navigation systems.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and inspection knowledge; physical ability to operate vehicles for extended periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and customer-service orientation.

Preferred skills

• GPS and navigation technology experience; defensive-driving training or certification.
• Previous logistics or delivery experience; familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures; multilingual abilities.
