Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain geotechnical drilling rigs (rotary, auger, core drilling).
• Perform soil and rock sampling (SPT, core sampling, disturbed and undisturbed samples).
• Execute borehole drilling according to project specifications and technical requirements.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and logging of samples.
• Assist in in-situ testing (SPT, permeability tests, plate load tests, etc.).
• Maintain daily drilling logs and field records accurately.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and clients when required.
• Mobilize and demobilize drilling equipment efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
• Minimum **3–5 years** of experience in geotechnical drilling.
• Hands-on experience with drilling methods: rotary, auger, and core drilling.
• Knowledge of soil classification and sampling techniques.
• Ability to read and follow borehole logs and technical instructions.
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor/site conditions.
• Valid driving license (preferred).

• Strong understanding of drilling operations and safety practices.
• Attention to detail in sample collection and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Health & Safety

• Strict adherence to HSE policies is mandatory.
• Use of PPE at all times on-site.
• Ability to identify and report hazards proactively.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience in the Middle East/Qatar projects.
• Familiarity with ASTM/BS standards for geotechnical investigations.
• Rig operation certification.
