Draughtsman

About This Role

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in Roadworks.
• Knowledge of industry-specific drafting standards.
• Understanding of engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed drawings, layouts, and models based on specifications provided by engineers or clients.
• Translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings using CAD software and other relevant tools.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including bills of materials, assembly instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Work closely with engineers and other professionals to understand design requirements, clarify technical details, and ensure the feasibility of designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback into revised designs.
• Contribute to the product development process by participating in design reviews, prototyping, and testing activities.
• Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, or performance enhancements.
• Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to design, safety, and manufacturing processes. Incorporate these standards into design specifications and ensure compliance throughout the design process.
• Effectively communicate design concepts and technical information to internal stakeholders, clients, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and presentations as required.
• Perform quality checks on design drawings and documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to address any design-related issues or non-conformities.
