The Fit-Out Draftsman prepares technical drawings, coordinates with project and site teams, and aligns drawings with approved designs and site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop, construction, joinery, and as-built drawings for fit-out projects.
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, and layouts based on approved designs and site conditions.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP, joinery, and site requirements.
- Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions before preparing drawings.
- Revise drawings to address site requirements, consultant or client comments, and project changes.
- Maintain drawing revisions, document control, and drawing registers.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and site teams so drawings are practical and ready for execution.
- Prepare drawings accurately and issue them within project deadlines.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in fit-out, interior, joinery, or construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of fit-out construction details, materials, and joinery works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines.
- UAE fit-out experience is preferred.
Advantageous software
- Knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or other relevant software is an advantage.
