Distribution Services Support reports to the Distribution Manager.
The position monitors and maintains customer inventory and coordinates movement of goods and materials.
The role works primarily at the Ontario Food Terminal and requires regular travel to the 302 Dwight Avenue location.
Responsibilities
- Build purchase orders, manage additional costs, and adjust purchase-order dates at month end.
- Process orders, verify prices, and create and maintain item codes.
- Prepare and maintain service rates and ensure customer billing accuracy.
- Contact customers to confirm order details and shipping schedules.
- Support order fulfillment and coordinate with regrade and repack facilities.
- Review, update, and monitor customer inventory.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
- Make appropriate revisions for recognition by the Canadian customs broker.
Candidate requirements
- Demonstrated logistics and supply-chain experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal ERP software.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data.
- Quick learner who adapts to change, works with a team, and can take direction.
- Strong interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions.
- Flexible schedule for occasional evenings and weekends; able to travel regularly between locations.
Schedule
- Intended schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Occasional evenings and weekends may be needed to meet business needs.
Compensation
- Salary range is $40,000 to $45,000; the posting does not specify a pay period.
