Role overview

The Director of Total Rewards drives the strategy, design, and execution of compensation, benefits, and incentive programs.

The role advises business leaders and aligns rewards strategy with people and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop total rewards strategy aligned with business goals and long-term talent priorities; advise People leaders and senior stakeholders on compensation frameworks.
  • Design and evolve competitive rewards programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and long-term incentives.
  • Oversee annual salary reviews and incentive payouts; analyze internal equity, market data, and pay progression.
  • Support executive and function-specific compensation strategies using global benchmarks.
  • Analyze bonus and incentive plans; oversee payout models, SOPs, SLAs, and governance review processes with other functions.
  • Lead benchmarking, compensation modeling, cost simulations, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Define scalable benefits using market trends and employee needs.
  • Lead and develop the rewards team, setting goals and building team capability.
  • Support rewards systems and tools implementation and improve rewards processes.
  • Partner with People Leads, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and senior business leaders across functions and regions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Compensation & Benefits or rewards consulting.
  • Experience in Compensation & Benefits design and/or HR analytics.
  • Strong collaboration and business partnering, with data-driven influence.
  • Independent, data-driven, self-starting approach and ability to lead and collaborate with project teams.
  • Comfort working in a changing environment, managing multiple tasks, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collect and work with varied data.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
