The Director - Ride & Show Engineering - Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of ride and show engineering assets within Qiddiya's Parks and Attractions.
This leadership role ensures that all mechanical and technical systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and guest experience while aligning with Qiddiya's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement asset management strategies for ride and show engineering assets to optimize performance and lifecycle management
- Lead and coordinate preventive maintenance programs, inspections, and corrective maintenance activities to uphold safety and operational excellence
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless asset handover, acceptance testing, and commissioning of new ride and show equipment
- Establish engineering standards, protocols, and best practices specific to rides and show systems, consistent with international and Qiddiya standards
- Oversee risk assessments and manage mitigation plans related to ride and show asset operations and maintenance
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources related to asset management activities within the ride and show engineering domain
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and Qiddiya policies regarding safety and operational performance
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members within the ride and show engineering asset management group
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance asset management processes and overall park performance
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in ride, theme park, or attraction engineering and asset management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally with prior experience working in the capacity of technical services / rides maintenance
- Strong knowledge of ride system mechanics, show control technologies, safety standards, and asset lifecycle management
- Proven experience managing large technical teams and multi-disciplinary projects
- Familiarity with international safety standards (e.g., ASTM, EN, ISO) and local regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement asset management strategies that improve reliability and reduce operational risk
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
