• Strong leadership, coaching and talent development skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build alignment across diverse teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for business audiences.
• Strong strategic thinking and business problem-solving capabilities.
• Good understanding of the end-to-end Data Science lifecycle, from problem definition through deployment and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of machine learning, predictive analytics, statistical methods and model evaluation techniques.
• Understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI and emerging AI trends.
• Good understanding of Python, SQL and modern analytics ecosystems without the expectation of daily hands-on development.
• Awareness of cloud-based analytics platforms, data engineering concepts and MLOps practices.
• Understanding of data governance, model governance, privacy requirements and responsible AI principles.
• Ability to balance technical considerations with business priorities and practical implementation needs.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across business and technology functions.
