Role overview

Compensation

• The stated salary range is $170,000 to $190,000 annually.

Distribution and fulfillment

• Own distribution and fulfillment across ecommerce, retail, and wholesale, moving products from factory handoff through warehouses to customers and partners.
• Improve service, cost, capacity, and reliability; intervene in complex issues and lead peak-season and contingency planning.

Freight, costs, and inventory

• Own freight, parcel, transportation, inbound freight, customs, brokerage, cross-border logistics, and duty-drawback performance.
• Manage fulfillment and logistics costs, cost visibility, cost reductions, invoices, commercial discrepancies, budgets, accruals, and reporting.
• Own inventory movement among warehouses, stores, and channels; coordinate inventory positioning and transfers and resolve flow constraints.

Returns and systems

• Own returns operations and economics, improving the speed and cost of returning inventory to available stock.
• Own system requirements across NetSuite, Shopify, 3PLs, EDI, retail systems, and carriers; identify automation opportunities.
• Own ERP administration and integrations across ecommerce, POS, EDI, 3PL/WMS, banking, and returns, along with data integrity, uptime, and incident resolution.

Operational improvement and leadership

• Use AI-first approaches to rebuild manual processes and productionize automation prototypes; document systems and SOPs and govern AI spend.
• Own operational KPIs and dashboards, lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and align company metric definitions.
• Lead the IT, Logistics & Fulfillment team and manage logistics, technology, and SaaS partners, negotiations, service expectations, renewals, and escalations.

Role scope

• The role leads a Manager and Specialist and remains actively involved in the operation.
• The director partners with Demand Planning, Finance, Ecommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Product, and Technology.
