Director of Laundry
About This Role
Oversee full laundry operations supporting 567 rooms, 11 meeting rooms, 1 ballroom, recreation and sports club facilities, and 15 restaurants.
Drive business growth through effective management and expansion of laundry services, including the existing three outlets, development of new outlets, and implementation of innovative ideas.
Ensure efficient processing and timely distribution of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry across all departments.
Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and quality standards across all laundry operations.
Manage and control linen inventory to meet operational requirements for rooms, F&B outlets, and events.
Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
Lead, train, and develop the laundry team to drive productivity and service excellence.
Plan and manage staff schedules in line with occupancy levels and operational demands.
Prepare, monitor, and control the department budget to ensure cost effectiveness.
Optimize the use of chemicals, water, and energy in line with sustainability goals.
Ensure proper maintenance and optimal performance of all laundry equipment.
Coordinate with Engineering for preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
Oversee guest laundry services, ensuring prompt handling and resolution of any issues.
Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Events, and Food & Beverage teams to support seamless operations.
Monitor operational performance, analyze key metrics, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
