Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
- Lead and oversee operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits across the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Review organizational policies, procedures, and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Monitor and follow up on audit observations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and control enhancements.
- Manage investigations related to fraud, misconduct, or control breaches when required.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
- Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other assurance providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master's Degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA, CISA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
