Director of Business Development

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the agency's business development strategy across the GCC.
• Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities across key sectors including FMCG, Retail, Government, Hospitality, Real Estate, Automotive, Technology, and Telecommunications.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior marketing, procurement, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, pitching, negotiation, and closure.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Creative, Digital, PR, Events, and Production to develop winning solutions for clients.
• Establish strategic partnerships with agencies, brands, and industry stakeholders.
• Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to management.
• Represent the agency at industry events, networking forums, and business meetings.
• Drive revenue growth while ensuring profitability targets are achieved.

Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership within a marketing agency, advertising agency, media agency, PR agency, events company, or related industry.
• Proven track record of generating and closing high-value accounts and retainers.
• Strong network within UAE and/or Saudi Arabia markets.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers and procurement teams.
• Strong understanding of integrated marketing services including digital, creative, media, PR, experiential marketing, events, and shopper marketing.
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results and growth.

Preference

• Existing relationships with regional and multinational brands.
• Experience managing large-scale RFPs and tender opportunities.
• Regional GCC experience, particularly UAE and Saudi Arabia.
