As our
Director of Business Development
, you will be the bridge between the deep technical work our engineers do and the transformational outcomes our clients need.
You think in systems, speak the language of both code and commerce, and thrive when the problem has never been solved before.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the full business development lifecycle,
- from market mapping and outreach to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure across multiple industries.
- Apply a software engineering lens
- to every engagement, identify technical feasibility early, define solution scope with our CTO and architects, and set realistic expectations that protect delivery quality.
- Design complex problem-solving frameworks
- in collaboration with clients, turning ambiguous operational challenges into structured AI-driven projects with measurable ROI.
- Represent the company
- at industry events, government forums, and innovation conferences across Qatar, the GCC, and internationally.
- Build and mentor a BD team
- , establishing scalable processes, playbooks, and a culture of consultative selling rooted in genuine technical depth.
- Collaborate with product and engineering
- to feed real market signals back into the company's capability roadmap and R&D priorities.
- Maintain deep sector intelligence
- across target verticals, tracking regulatory changes, competitor moves, and emerging AI adoption trends.
Must-Have
- Background in software engineering or computer science (degree or equivalent professional depth)
- 8+ years in BD, pre-sales, or strategic consulting, with at least 3 in AI, data, or enterprise software
- Demonstrated ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals (QAR 2M+)
- Exceptional ability to diagnose and structure complex operational problems
- Strong communicator across both technical and executive audiences
- Experience in or deep familiarity with the Qatar or GCC market
Strongly Valued
- Arabic language proficiency, plus English
- Hands-on experience with ML/AI product development or delivery
- Track record selling to government or semi-government entities in the Gulf
- Network across key Qatar 2030 sectors
- Ability to write technical proposals and solution narratives independently
- Prior team-building or leadership experience
