Job Description
The Director of Commercial Management will provide strategic and operational leadership across an operating unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and driving commercial success.
This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, overseeing project delivery, financial performance, client engagement, and talent development.
Key Requirements
- Contribute to and execute the company’s strategic direction, aligning operational goals with broader business objectives.
- Influence and communicate strategic priorities across the business to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Anticipate market trends and adapt business strategies to maintain competitive advantage and profitability.
- Establish operational objectives and work plans; delegate responsibilities to subordinate managers and teams.
- Oversee project delivery throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, financial control, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance (QA) standards and policies, and in accordance with internal project delivery governance.
- Develop and manage financial plans for the regional business unit.
- Accountable for full P&L performance, driving profitability and sustainable growth.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future work to support long-term business objectives.
- Lead engagement with key clients, focusing on both new opportunities and existing relationships of strategic importance.
- Present project deliverables and benchmark data to clients, ensuring transparency and value delivery.
- Foster a high-performance culture through effective talent management, including identifying and developing key talent.
- Promote collaboration across regional and cross-functional teams.
- Lead by example in promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing P&L and delivering profitable growth.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 20 years post-undergraduate experience.
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying and/or Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University.
- MRICS or equivalent accreditation.
