Role overview

Digital Service Desk Analysts provide first-line technical support to users of Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.

The analyst records reported IT issues and service requests, works to restore service quickly, or escalates cases to specialist support groups.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact between end users and the IT organisation.
  • Record and prioritise service issues and requests, then progress them through to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, restore service where possible, or escalate to the appropriate specialist support group.
  • Provide a comprehensive IT helpdesk service to network users across Trust sites.

Experience and skills

  • Technical troubleshooting abilities and excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Experience with NHS environments and systems is valuable; successful candidates receive thorough on-the-job training.

Hours and shifts

  • The role follows a shift pattern, with core hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • The role offers up to 37.5 working hours per week.

Location

  • The role is based in Guildford, Surrey, and supports hospital services in Guildford and surrounding areas.
