Digital Innovation Lead

We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated Digital Innovation Lead to identify, shape, and deliver impactful digital initiatives across products, services, and internal operations.

The successful candidate will lead research, concept development, and strategic delivery for projects that translate emerging technologies and digital opportunities into practical, scalable, and user-centered solutions.

This is a hands-on role working closely with product, engineering, business, design, and communications teams to build intelligent, effective, and future-ready digital experiences and accompanying programs.

Lead research and concept development for digital innovation projects across products, services, and operational workflows.

Identify, commission and cultivate relationships with product teams, engineers, designers, technologists, and strategic partners.

Produce digital strategy briefs, product notes, implementation materials, and reports that communicate complex topics clearly.

Develop project timelines, delivery briefs, and coordinate implementation with technical teams and vendors.

Manage project budgets, schedules and supplier/contractor relationships.

Organize accompanying workshops, demos, training sessions, and educational materials.

Liaise with technical and business partners to ensure accurate, ethical, and effective delivery of digital initiatives; arrange access to data, prototypes or environments as required.

Oversee documentation, testing records, and archival notes for each project or initiative.

Support fundraising and proposal applications by preparing research summaries and recommendations.

Monitor user feedback and research impact; refine strategies to increase accessibility, adoption, and engagement.

Minimum BA/MA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; PhD or equivalent research experience preferred.

At least 3–5 years digital innovation, product, research or consulting experience in a technology company, startup, consultancy, lab, or equivalent professional setting.

Demonstrable interest in and familiarity with digital transformation topics (product development, automation, data-driven systems, emerging technologies) — deep technical expertise is not required, but proven ability to learn and collaborate with technical teams is essential.

Strong research, writing and editorial skills — able to produce clear, engaging technical and business-facing texts and funding materials.

Project management experience: budgets, timelines, supplier coordination and logistics.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building cross-disciplinary collaborations between product, engineering, and business teams.

Portfolio or track record of digital innovation projects, solutions, prototypes, or related work (links or PDF).

Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
