Digital and Innovation Lead (construction)

Overview

Role

• Lead the Digital Strategy and Innovation unit to formulate and implement the digital & innovation strategy in digital engineering / design, digital construction, and digital project management.
• Define and formulate project plans, prioritise the implementation programme, identify risks and barriers, establish mitigation strategies, manage stakeholders, and prepare budgets.
• Develop and implement standardisation and governance protocols for digital and innovation initiatives.
• Analyse users and business requirements to develop business cases and collaborate with internal and external stakeholder to oversee and implement development and ongoing upgrades of relevant systems and applications.
• Engage internal stakeholders / end-users actively and review business pain-points, work processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement to achieve enhancements.
• Co-ordinate with the internal IT team to develop and launch new digital developments and initiatives, ensuring compliance with Corporate IT standards and governance.

Requirements

• 15+ years' relevant experience, of which 7+ years should be at managerial level.
• Knowledge of construction technologies, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographical Information System (GIS), Smart Site Safety System and Digital Works Supervision System, digital project management platforms / software.
• Good understanding of how AI, data analytics and data governance are applied in large scale construction projects and environments.
• Good understanding and relevant experience in infrastructure project management / delivery covering various stage of a project life cycle including design and construction stages.
• Excellent knowledge of project management frameworks and system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology
• Proficient in using various digital platforms and software for infrastructure project management, engineering design, and construction management.
• Degree in Information Technology / Engineering or a related discipline
• Civil engineering qualifications and/or hands on experience strongly preferred.
• Fluent English, oral and written.
