Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diamond core drilling rigs safely and efficiently in accordance with project specifications.
• Conduct drilling operations to achieve required depths, drilling angles, and azimuth specifications.
• Ensure high-quality core recovery, accurate sampling, and proper handling of geological core samples.
• Monitor drilling progress, penetration rates, ground conditions, and equipment performance.
• Manage drilling fluids and downhole tools according to geological conditions.
• Handle core barrels and ensure correct core retrieval procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot drilling issues, including stuck rods, fluid loss, and unstable ground formations.
• Label, store, and protect core samples to maintain sample integrity.
• Maintain accurate daily drilling logs, depth records, core recovery reports, and operational documentation.
• Conduct routine drilling equipment inspections and support maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Operations Supervisors, field engineers, and geological teams.
• Comply with all site-specific HSE policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Saudi nationality.
• Practical experience in diamond core drilling or directly relevant drilling operations.
• Knowledge of drilling equipment, drilling fluids, downhole tools, and sampling procedures.
• Ability to work in remote mining and exploration environments.
• Basic English reading and writing skills for technical instructions and daily reports.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

• Ideally 5–7 years of diamond core drilling experience.
• Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant hands-on drilling experience may also be considered.
• Candidates who have completed drilling training programs and gained practical field experience are encouraged to apply.
