Role summary
Design, automate, and scale cloud-native infrastructure pipelines.
Build highly available deployment pipelines, write infrastructure as code, and optimize cluster scaling, uptime, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using automation servers such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Manage Terraform or OpenTofu infrastructure-as-code templates for secure, modular, repeatable environments.
- Operate Kubernetes production workloads, scaling, service meshes, routing policies, and deployment strategies across EKS, AKS, or GKE.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK.
- Develop high-availability and fault-tolerance measures, disaster recovery plans, load balancing, and self-healing scripts.
- Manage configuration and secrets using tools such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
- Take part in on-call rotations and lead root-cause analysis of runtime failures, performance bottlenecks, and resource leaks.
Required qualifications
- 5–9 years of core systems engineering or software development experience, including 4+ dedicated years building and operating cloud-native production platforms.
- Strong Kubernetes administration, Terraform automation, Linux internals, shell scripting using Bash, Python, or Go, and network protocol skills.
- Understanding of microservices, caching, database scaling limits, and cloud-provider API governance.
- One of AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Microsoft/Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or CKA is required.
Preferred qualifications
- DevSecOps control implementation, including SAST/DAST integration into container builds, is preferred.
- GitOps and progressive delivery experience, such as Canary or Blue/Green deployment using Flagger or Istio, is preferred.
