Role overview

Candidate profile

• Deep expertise in cloud and platform architecture, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, Kubernetes, automation, and enterprise platform engineering.
• Translate business and engineering needs into platform architecture, guide complex initiatives, influence standards, mentor engineers, and demonstrate hands-on technical depth.

Platform and cloud architecture

• Define platform architecture and strategy, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and secure self-service cloud capabilities.
• Lead architecture and design reviews and evaluate cloud-native technologies against technical and business needs.

Infrastructure as code and automation

• Define reusable IaC architecture and standards using Terraform or OpenTofu, including modular design, testing, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Integrate provisioning with CI/CD and GitOps; establish validation, drift detection, policy enforcement, and automated remediation approaches.
• Guide development of platform automation, APIs, utilities, and integrations.

GitOps and continuous delivery

• Define GitOps architecture and operating models using Argo CD, Flux, or equivalent technologies.
• Establish standards for declarative configuration, environment promotion, reconciliation, secrets, rollback, access control, and policy enforcement.
• Define reusable deployment patterns for blue/green, canary, progressive delivery, automated rollback, and policy-driven deployments.

Kubernetes and developer enablement

• Set enterprise container platform standards, including Amazon EKS and Azure AKS where applicable.
• Architect internal developer platform services, templates, APIs, workflows, and self-service capabilities.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish paved roads and platform success metrics for adoption, productivity, automation, reliability, and deployment efficiency.
