Additional Responsibilities
- Run multiple machines including a 2 Plane, Detwister, and Straightener to straighten and remove skew from bars
- Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers and measuring tapes
- Setting up machines by changing rolls
- Read and interpret shop orders and other instructions
- Load, unload, and adjust temperature on the furnace
- Maintain logs and records
- Visually inspect finished product and stage it
- Operate heavy machinery like a crane, forklift, IME, and Combi lift
- Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations
