specializing in
Accessories
to join our Dubai Design team.
Job Purpose
The selected designers will be responsible for the end-to-end creation and development of seasonal collections across assigned categories, ensuring all products are aligned with brand DNA, current market trends, and premium product standards.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong creative ability combined with technical product knowledge, sample development experience, and close collaboration with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams.
1. Collection Design & Trend Development
- Design and develop seasonal collections across the assigned category (Accessories).
- Build seasonal mood boards, trend stories, color palettes, fabric/material directions, and silhouette concepts.
- Translate international fashion trends into commercially relevant collections suitable for regional and global markets.
- Ensure all collections reflect the individual identity, aesthetic language, and positioning of the assigned licensed brands.
2. End-to-End Product Development
- Take full ownership of product development from concept stage to final approved sample.
- Prepare CADs, technical sketches, artwork placements, BOMs, size specs, and complete tech packs.
- Work closely with pattern makers, sample rooms, vendors, and sourcing teams through all development stages.
- Review prototypes, salesman samples, and fit samples, providing detailed comments and approvals.
3. Fabric, Material & Trim Development
- Source and develop fabrics, trims, hardware, branding elements, and finishing techniques according to category requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure premium quality, innovation, and commercial feasibility.
- Exposure to denim fabrics, washes, garment dyeing, distressing, and specialty finishes will be considered a strong advantage.
4. Brand Alignment & Commercial Execution
- Interpret brand manuals, seasonal references, and licensor guidelines into market-ready collections.
- Maintain consistency in fit, construction, trims, branding applications, packaging details, and overall product language.
- Balance creative design direction with costing, margin expectations, and customer demand.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise closely with merchandising, sourcing, production, and planning teams to ensure timely collection development.
- Participate in design reviews, sample evaluations, fit sessions, and seasonal line presentations.
- Ensure all developments are completed within critical path timelines and launch calendars.
Experience
across bags, caps, belts, scarves, socks, small leather goods, and fashion lifestyle accessories.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or related field.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in fashion/apparel/accessories design.
- Strong exposure to premium, luxury, contemporary, or licensed fashion brands is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end sample development and vendor coordination is essential.
- Strong understanding of garment/accessory construction, fit, materials, and technical execution.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software, and Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to denim development will be considered a strong advantage.
